INTERREG-BioGrenzKorr – part 2

The report documents bat diversity in six forests in the Danish-German border region including southern Fynnen and highlight the importance of forest type and forest structure for bat species diversity. Furthermore Myotis bechsteinii habitat use, on both sides of a new fauna passage in Kiebitzholm 130 km south of the border, is investigated. The second part looks at habitat improvements through forest management and introduction of artificial roosting sites including the use of bat boxes.
